DUBUQUE, Iowa (June 16, 2014) – LabStrong is now an authorized distributor of the Fi-Streem Vacuum Oven. The Fi-Streem Vacuum Oven was previously manufactured by Sanyo Gallenkamp and branded as the Gallenkamp Vacuum Oven. The oven is suitable for a variety of laboratory applications such as heating and drying, temperature related experiments, curing, vacuum embedding and plating applications.
The easy to use Fi-Streem Vacuum Oven features a compact footprint with a spacious 31 liter capacity rectangular chamber. The durable outer case is constructed of painted steel and the interior chamber is a robust light alloy aluminum casting. Glass fiber insulation wrapped around the outside of the oven chamber helps to maintain safe, low outer case temperatures while increasing energy efficiency. A toughened glass viewing window, with a shatter-resistant screen, allows for safe viewing of the interior chamber. The oven is supplied with two shelves and has three shelf positions.
In 2011, Fi-Streem updated the oven to have an electric digital PID controller. This update replaced the hydraulic thermostats. The controller allows for easy and fast temperature setting with integral over temperature alarm indication. Temperatures up to 200°C are possible via the PID controller. An independent safety circuit protects sensitive samples from over-heating.
For convenience, the oven features easy to read vacuum controls. A vacuum gauge and two needle valves with push-on tubing connectors are situated near the bottom front panel of the oven. These allow for connection to a vacuum pump, vapor trap, or exhaust.
In addition to offering the oven, LabStrong now offers replacement parts for the Fi-Streem Vacuum Oven and Gallenkamp Vacuum Oven. The replacement parts include the door gasket, shelves, valves, gauges, heating elements and components for the door. LabStrong is also able to recommend a suitable vacuum pump for the Fi-Streem Vacuum Oven.
