The 240V 2500w heating element is suitable for operation in the MP-3A (Model numbers A440367 and A440696), MP-6A (Model numbers A440518 and A440697), MP-11A (Model numbers A440118 and A440117) and MP-12A (Model numbers A442011 and A442012) Thermo Fisher Scientific™ Barnstead™ Mega-Pure™ Glass Stills.

The LabStrong™ heating element offers a new and improved design that is directly compatible to the Thermo Fisher Scientific™ Barnstead™ part numbers 740883 and 740895. The heating element converts electricity into heat through the process of Joule heating. Electric current through the element encounters resistance, resulting in heating of the element. The heating of the element causes the water in the boiler of the glass still to boil. This heating allows for the process of distillation to occur. The heating element provides outstanding quality at a lower cost than the competitor’s.
